K is for Kitchen Sink

If you had to think of your wardrobe in comparison to any room in your house, I doubt many of us would think of a kitchen. But, when you really think about it, it works.
What do you do in a kitchen? You cook. You mix ingredients to create a delicious whole meal. You use utensils and tools to help you cook, and every once and a while you have to purge your cupboards and your fridge of items that have expired and no longer useable.
Treat your wardrobe the same way. It’s your daily work station where you prepare beautiful and whole outfits. You have your accessories and properly fitted undergarments as your tools to help you prepare and complete your outfits. Most importantly, just as you would throw away food items that are expired and unusable, you need to rid your wardrobe of old clothes; clothes that don’t fit (too big/small), are worn (pills, unmendable tears, threadbare, stained, etc), or dated (older than 10 years, out of season trends, clothes that age you (too young or too old).
Take a moment, an hour, or day to weed through your closet the way you clean out your pantry and fridge. You'll be happy you did.
