Colored Denim Skirt Series: Turquoise.

It has been a while since I last wrote a post for this series. So far we have covered orange and kelly green denim. For the third installment, we will be looking at wearing turquoise denim. Since turquoise can take on a variety of hues, think of this particular hue as a tropical ocean blue. This hue is particularly versatile and works well with a wide array of colors and patterns. Below are my five preferred ways for wearing turquoise.

1.Coral. Color blocking turquoise and coral will make both colors pop. Feeling a bit uneasy about color blocking? Pair a neutral blouse with your turquoise denim skirt and add coral accessories.

2.Citrus. Like Kelly green. Citrus hues, especially lemon, look great paired with turquoise and takes it from a fall hue to an instant spring and summer classic.

3.Dots and Stripes. Take turquoise and make it girly and fun with a great polka dot top. Or go for a hip nautical look with a navy and white striped top, and red accessories.

4.Neutrals. Turquoise looks good with black to create a classic look. It also fairs wells with camel/tan, and white.

5.Red. Color blocking turquoise and red is a wonderful way to stay summery and make your outfit stand out. Still uncertain about color blocking. Make red an accent color with a great accessory.
